Easy Garlic Parmesan Chicken Skewers
Prep Time: 20 mins Cook Time: 15 mins Total Time: 35 mins Servings: 4
Ingredients
Chicken and Seasoning
- 2 large skinless, boneless chicken breasts
- 1 tablespoon oil
- 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 tablespoon paprika powder
- 2 tablespoons finely shredded Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon Cajun seasoning
- 1 tablespoon mayonnaise
- 1/4 teaspoon salt, or to taste
Garlicky Parmesan Sauce
- 1/4 cup butter, melted
- 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 tablespoon finely shredded Parmesan cheese
- 2 tablespoons finely chopped parsley
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- salt to taste
- diced red chili pepper (optional)
Directions
- Soak wooden skewers, if using, in hot water for 20 minutes.
- Cut the chicken into cubes and place in a bowl. Add oil, black pepper, garlic powder, paprika, Parmesan cheese, Cajun seasoning, mayonnaise and salt. Cajun seasoning has salt, so be mindful. Mix until chicken is evenly coated with seasonings.
- Thread chicken onto skewers. Spray cooking spray on bottom of the air fryer basket.
- For garlicky Parmesan sauce, add soft butter, black pepper, garlic powder, Parmesan, parsley, garlic, salt, and red chile to a small bowl, and stir until combined.
- Air fry at 390 degrees F (199 degrees C) for only 11 minutes, flipping halfway through. If you cook longer, chicken will be dry. OR grill over high heat and flames to 165 degrees.
- Brush sauce onto chicken skewers. Serve immediately as is for a main dish or appetizer, or over rice pilaf, pasta, orzo, or in a wrap.
